Cash for work

The Cash for Work Programme, implemented by Mumbwa Town Council, provides short-term employment opportunities for vulnerable households in Mumbwa District. Projects are labour-based and focus on local infrastructure, public health, and environmental resilience while injecting cash into the local economy.

How Beneficiaries are Selected

Selection follows council guidelines. Priority is given to households identified by Ward Development Committees, focusing on the most vulnerable, including those headed by women, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.
