6th March,2025 -Central Province Permanent Secretary Dr. Milner Mwanakampwe impressed with cash for work in Mumbwa district.
Speaking when he toured the construction site for two VIP toilets and roads works on the four (4) kilometers road under cash for work Dr. Mwanakmpwe emphasized on the need for the community to continue mobilizing themselves through cash for work to be able to carry out more projects when the Constituency Development funds (CDF) are allocated.
He further encouraged the council to speed up the payments to the cash for work beneficiaries who had worked for the month of January.
Dr Mwanakampwe further issued a warning to anyone found abusing the cash for work program will face the law.
Provincial Local Government Officer Mr. Clint Susiku emphasized on owning and not limiting to one project but identify more projects that will benefit the community.
Mumbwa Town Council has so far paid about Twenty Million Sixty Seven Thousand Six Hundred Kwacha (K20, 067,600.00) to both Mumbwa and Nangoma Constituency beneficiaries from the month of August 2024 to December 2024.
